ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 LABORATORY
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TRAINING
SEMINAR
Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) is a
parastatal organization mandated, by its
enacting legislation, with the duty of
Standardization and Quality Assurance.
In order to promote the quality
infrastructure in our country, TBS shall
conduct a training seminar based on an
international standard ISO/IEC 17025:
2005 -
General requirements for the competence
of testing and calibration laboratories.
The training shall cover the
requirements for carrying out tests
and/or calibrations, including sampling;
as well as testing and calibration done
using standard methods, non-standard
methods, and laboratory-developed
methods. ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is for use
by laboratories, whether independent or
part of the organization, in developing
management system for quality,
administrative and technical operations.
Laboratory customers, regulatory
authorities and accreditation bodies may
also use it in confirming or recognizing
the competence of laboratories.
Consultants
The course shall feature TBS’ prominent
consultants with a vast experience in
testing, calibrating, and quality
training and consulting. TBS labs are
among the few in East and Central Africa
to gain ISO/IEC 17025: 2005
accreditation.
Target Group
The training is intended for Senior and
Middle Managers form all organizational
functions.
Venue
The course shall be held at The
Arusha Hotel in
Arusha from
25th -29th June
2007 starting from 08h30.
Fees
Participation fees shall be USD 450 or
its equivalent in TZS, to cover tuition
fees, lecture material and refreshments
only. Space is limited to 20
participants only, and will be on a
first come first served basis.
